“Hmm… What is there to do around here?”

“Hmmm.. I could think of a few things.”

At the sound of her voice and the gratitude that spread across her features, The soldier let out an exhale of steam between parted lips, revealing a soft smile.  She felt the tension of the anticipation she had been holding in her chest and shoulders loosen, unaware of how rigid she had been just moments earlier.  Of course Rydia was happy to see her.  Why would she think otherwise? Despite… Previous happenings.. Like her fiancee’ denouncing the title of her future beloved’.  

And Lightning wouldn’t believe for a second that she wasn’t the one mainly responsible for the man known as Kain for leaving the summoner heartbroken.  Still.. Despite all of that, Rydia wouldn’t hold such hostility in her heart towards the woman she had shown such love to, as Lightning had done likewise.  The soldier almost chided herself for being so on edge about seeing Rydia again.

As her eyes lingered on her face for several seconds, she couldn’t help but be in awe of her subtlety, yet radiant beauty.  It was a quality she was drawn to the moment she met Rydia-an attractiveness she didn’t have to flaunt, not like it was in her nature to begin with.  At the woman’s question was Lightning then aware of the smell of something delicious cooking wafting in the chilled air, filling her senses.  It sent her a rather adorable image of Rydia going to and from one part of the kitchen to the other as she prepared a delicious meal, carefully timing and measuring, mixing and seasoning.  She rather liked the image.  

She was still a bit cautious of herself, not the girl, as she took a small step forward and nodded with grateful eyes, signaling her acception of Rydia’s invitation.  ”I would.”. She replied simply, the smile apparent mostly in her eyes.

It’s been sitting on my RP Lightning’s wall for at least a month and she hasn’t had the time to do anything right now. I want Fang to get some action so maybe we can find some on here. I was going for a resident evil theme but it’s pretty open for any place and any fandom.

Fang awoke to find…

[ Sure, I’ll bite. ;) ] Fifty-two… Fifty-three…The numbers passed through Lightning’s mind as she crouched on the second floor roof of an abandoned flower shop, counting the lumbering figures below with a grimace. When she first awoke (or arrived? How the hell did she get into a place like this, to begin with?) underneath an abandoned car to the face of a mangled corpse beside her, it didn’t take more than a second to register that it was a realistic assumption would be that she was likely next to be dead. First reaction: find safety. At first, she thought she was completely alone; either that, or her enemy was cloaking themselves very well. But a few minutes walking among the dingy streets, she began to notice movement all around her. It was slow at first; almost undetectable. But soon, bodies were slowly writhing, squirming, staggering down the street, with blood covering them, mostly from gashes and rips from their throats and necks, near the collarbones on some. It only took a half a minute of shouting and a few bullets to the uneffected torsos to realize that these beings were not ordinary, moving human flesh. She didn’t know how to describe them.. But she knew she would be outnumbered on the ground. So, finding the rusted fire escape to the flower shop and blocking it with a few overturned loading carts, she had her place… For now. Counting the bodies down below, her memory still evaded her…this city was so unfamiliar.. And was there any sane peron nearby? She decided to save her ammunition as much as possible, but the soldier didn’t take chances with the ladder, shooting any that got too close to it for comfort. She would have to get down eventually.. But first, she needed to know where to go. The quickest route that would allow her to move about. Then, glancing around her and not to the ground, a thought struck her… The rooftops. Perfect. Shit. Another one attempting to use the ladder. /bang./ Lightning’s keen vision glanced off in the distance, catching the much quicker movement of a relatively tall person, moving cautiously and swiftly among the debris. She regocnized that walk… The hair. A red lance. Fang! She had to be careful. The creatures seemed to not notice her yet, and she wanted to keep it that way. Lightning shot out at a nearby walking corpse, beginning to clear a path for Fang to make her way up. Surely she would see the ladder in her general direction, just to the side of the building. The soldier kept watching with hopeful eyes, as she drew closer, almost willing her to look up, and see the owner of the gunshots being delt amidst the quiet city.
